Jane teaches a powerful and dynamic heated flow vinyasa, cultivating freedom through the joy of movement. She feels compelled and honored to lead the practice that has brought her "home" and hopes to inspire students to embrace their uniqueness, express their gifts, expand their mind, and find their JOY.
A Boston native, track and soccer athlete Jane Cargill discovered power yoga in 2001. After years of rigorous physical activity, her body began to speak loudly in the form of bursitis and Jane began looking for an alternative form of exercise - something challenging, low impact that would satisfy her craving for movement. She fell in love with yoga that very first day on her mat! What she didn't anticipate was the new-found freedom through expression and acceptance that is inherent in the yogic process. She continues to nurture that relationship with herself through daily practice and shares it with others in her teaching. A graduate of Cultural Anthropology, Jane is now a full time yoga teacher, an active volunteer for YogaHope, dedicated to bringing yoga to under-served women in the Boston and involved in the Africa Yoga Project which cultivates change through the practice and teaching of Yoga in Nairobi Kenya.
